Cobb lawmaker’s bill aims to protect cannabis oil patients from feds

TMR-Tippins3/1/15–A Cobb lawmaker has introduced a bill that would create a layer of protection from the federal government for children who use a marijuana derivative to treat their seizures. State Sen. Lindsey Tippins (R-west Cobb) on Thursday filed Senate Bill 185, seek which would expand Georgia’s clinical trial of cannabidiol or cannabidiol-containing products to treat minors who have medication-resistant seizures.
