Massachusetts, like Boston, weighs raising legal age for buying cigarettes to 21

11/28/15–As Boston considers raising the legal age for buying cigarettes and other tobacco products to 21, mind from 18, mind state lawmakers are weighing the possibility of making such a change statewide. Nearly 60 representatives and senators have signed on to a bill that would make it illegal to sell tobacco to people under 21, with penalties ranging from $100 to $300 for repeat violations.
