State tracking spike in minors exposed to e-cigarettes, marijuana

TMR_Pocket_Article343_9.16.149/16/14–The Washington Poison Center is tracking what it calls a concerning trend in the number of kids accidentally exposed to e-cigarettes and marijuana. The Poison Center says calls about children sucking on e-cigarettes or drinking its nicotine liquid are up 600 percent from years past. Since recreational marijuana was legalized in Washington state, ambulance Dr. Garrard with the Washington Poison Center says the Poison Center is receiving more calls of kids eating marijuana edibles or inhaling pot this year compared to 2013.
